Finish 2018 Strong!
Can you believe it’s December on Saturday! Before we even start thinking about 2019 let’s talk 2018. Here are 5 ways to keep your end of year momentum.
Go back to the beginning of the year.
Statistics show that 80% of New Year resolutions fail by February. What were your goals for this year and did you keep to any of them? It is not too late! Recap and implement at least one over the next four weeks.
Reflect on the year
Use this quieter time of the year to reassess procedures and see where changes can be made to improve productivity. Clear that stack of papers that you have been putting off. Take a look back on all projects undertaken across the year and highlight what worked well and not so well. By doing this now you are ensuring you will start the first week back in 2019 on a high and determined to move forward.
Make new connections
During busier times of the year it is so easy to push things aside. Take things back to basics spend time on those things. Do you have notifications on your LinkedIn that need to be actioned? Are there blogs and articles from your industry leaders you have been putting off reading.
Learn something new
Even by just getting you and your team to pledge to how everyone would like to enhance their skills or knowledge, could be both professional and personal. Could be a great way to develop staff in other areas of the business.
Don’t try and to it all at once. With companies winding down during this time of the year. Staff going away for the holidays. Set clear achievable goals and deadlines for projects that can be completed this side of Christmas.
