Our approach

Our approach

Our approach was to challenge the conventional norms of recruitment websites in their sector. Through our research, we found that most were cold, overly corporate, and uninspiring—far from something to aspire to. From the start, our vision was clear: to create a bold, engaging, and vibrant digital experience that injects personality and warmth, setting Four Squared apart from the competition.

Creative Direction

In the early stages, we experimented extensively with color, searching for a palette that made an impact without feeling overly intrusive. We ultimately landed on a peach and mint combination—striking yet balanced. To complement this, we introduced bold typography and dynamic cut-out imagery of the team, injecting personality and energy into the design. This was further enhanced by a distinct tone of voice that embraced a slightly unconventional, offbeat approach—helping to carve out a unique identity in an otherwise uninspiring market.

Brand Creation

Our primary challenge, as always, was ensuring consistency across multiple channels while enabling a smooth handover for the client to manage their digital communications effectively. To achieve this, we developed a robust design system that allowed for the seamless repurposing of modules across platforms. Once we had all the templates fine-tuned in Figma, we translated them into Canva, empowering the in-house team to create and deliver content effortlessly while maintaining brand consistency.

Web design & development

At the heart of our brand exploration was the design and development of a powerful new brand platform. Functionality was a top priority, ensuring new vacancies could be seamlessly integrated into the website. To bring this vision to life, we built a custom WordPress environment, leveraging its flexibility to incorporate a wide range of bespoke features. The final result is a dynamic blend of bold, playful graphics and finely tuned functionality—a perfect vehicle to propel Four Squared into its next phase of brand growth.

SEO

In a highly competitive landscape, having a website optimised for search engine dominance is essential. We dedicated a significant portion of the project budget to laying strong SEO foundations, ensuring long-term success. Combined with our ongoing SEO efforts, this has led to substantial improvements in website performance and engagement. From technical optimisations to content strategy and opportunity identification, our robust approach has positioned the website for sustained growth—both now and in the future.
